Valeria Landeros
Program Manager
Hi, I’m Valeria! As a Program Manager at Self Determined Futures, I’m fortunate to combine my background in Cognitive Science and Data Science with my passion for creating impactful programs. I’ve always been fascinated by the intersection of psychology, education, and data science, and I’m dedicated to using these fields to help diverse populations enhance their cognitive and social skills.
I graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in Cognitive Science and Data Science, and over the last five years, I’ve gained experience in everything from behavioral therapy to program coordination and data analysis. My journey began with Calculus Roundtable, where I worked as a Fellow & Instructional Coach, developing educational curricula for schools across California. This experience taught me the importance of communication and data-driven decision-making, and I learned just how powerful tailored programs can be for diverse student populations.
Later, as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), I focused on developing behavioral therapy treatment plans and using data to track and ensure program effectiveness. Working alongside multidisciplinary teams, including clinical staff and families, I helped ensure that goals were aligned and that programs were running smoothly.
In my current role, I’m focused on program coordination and resource optimization. I use data-driven strategies to support decision-making, improve program delivery, and help communities and families reach their goals. I’m passionate about creating meaningful change and continuously refining programs to maximize their impact.
Outside of work, I stay connected to the community through volunteering in therapy programs. I also love spending time with animals and exploring local spots, always looking for new ways to connect with people and places around me.
